- As we were up changing Camden's sheet and pajamas last night(after an accident), he says to Todd, " Daddy, why did you sound like Darth Vader when I came in your room?" And then, he proceeds to make the noise that Todd was making. He was talking about Todd's snoring! Oh, I could not contain my laughter even at 3:00 in the morning-it was hilarious.
- Camden is finally wanting to write his name and this teacher momma is SO proud!!
- While I am very sad at times that we have not been chosen yet by a birthmom, I am so grateful that we have Little Man and for the joy he brings us every single day. The words of one of my favorite songs on JoyFM come to me often: ..." If I need to be still, give me peace for the moment...." God has given me a peace about our second adoption that I cannot explain. I still am anxious, but not overly so.
- I have such an awesome group of students this year. They are so willing to please and for the most part, very well-behaved. I am so glad to be having an enjoyable year.
- Todd and I were talking on the phone the other day and he said, "Hey, remember when we had our landline and when I said something you didn't like-you would bang the phone on the counter or whatever was handy?" He and I had the best laugh over that memory.
- Camden melted my heart the other day with his sweetness. I was trying on my bridesmaid's dress for the wedding and walked in to show Todd. Camden was in the room and said, "Mommy, move your head like this." I did and he said, "Mom, you look like a Barbie!" Even though I am far from a Barbie-how cute was that?!?!
- I had a sub(who is also a student teacher in our building) last week while Camden was sick who organized my middle desk drawer. I ran out of time before school started this year and she remembered me saying that. I opened it Monday morning, and as I put it to her, I heard angels singing. I LOVE organization! What a kind thing for her to do! and of course, I snapped a picture of it....
- Todd and I were told during family read time before bed tonight to put our stop signs up because we were "whipsering". We just looked at each other and grinned. Nothing like being put in your place by your 4 1/2 year old son.
- I can make gravy!! I realize this may seem kinda silly, but one of the things I have missed about my momma's cooking is her gravy. So, about a year ago, I decided I was going to learn how. I have to say Todd was pretty excited. I will also say that there were a few flops and it still tastes kinda bland-but it's gravy.
- Could someone please tell me how to teach my son to blow his nose? When he has a booger, he sniffs constantly and it drives me bonkers. At this point, I may just be willing to pay someone to teach him. Any takers?
