Family Pictures 2012

Got2BeMe Photography took our family pictures last week. Wouldn't you know our normally super happy child was a bit on the grumpy side, but Britaney was very patient with him(and us). These are our sneak peaks-can't wait to see the whole cd!

Camden's First Field Trip

Friday was Little Man's first field trip with Victory Children's Center to Eckert's in Millstadt. Mommy and Daddy took the day off work and made it a family day! It had rained alot this week, so the orchard was a little muddy. Other than being a bit overcast at first, the weather turned out pretty nice. We had a good time picking apples with his friends and doing the fun activities.

One of the cutest things that Camden has learned lately is ordering things according to size. He sees small, medium and large everywhere and will line things up according to size. I am amazed by it every time!

Ms. Sue

Camden, you are so blessed to have Ms. Sue as your teacher this year at Victory. You have learned so much in your first month! Your little mind just craves learning and you are thriving with her. I know she is special to you already because you ran to hug her last Sunday when you saw her at church. Mommy loves that she takes pictures and send them to the parents. Last week, you told us that "your skeleton is under your crust." When you said crust, you pulled at your skin. You also said, "My heart's the engine and my head is the compooter." Here are a few pictures so far in the 3 and 4 year old room at Victory Children's Center:

Vols Game Day

Saturday night we hosted the first Volunteers football game party of the 2012 season. I think I like preparing, planning, and decorating for the party and then talking more than I do watching the actual football game, but Todd has come to terms with that. The Bates' 3 came over and we had an amazing evening of grilling and eating, playing cornhole, catching up, watching football (more for some and less for others) and listening to Amanda and Camden play. We are so blessed to have such great friends.

Best Buddies

Lincoln and Camden had another play date Friday night at Lincoln's house this time. I was a little worried that Camden wouldn't stay, but when I got ready to leave all he said was, "Bye Mom!"
These are the pictures Rachel, Lincoln's mom sent me of the boys. It is obvious that they were having a blast! They had really missed each other and Rachel said they went non-stop all night.

How can I not love him?

This note peeked around the corner at me the other morning after Todd and I had a little disagreement. Of course, I started laughing and my aggrivation totally disappeared. I love Todd's sense of humor and his ability to make me laugh no matter what the circumstance. I always tell him I hope you still make me laugh like this when we are 80. Thank you, Lord, for an amazing and patient husband who helps me be a better person.

Wabash Railroad

 

We took advantage of the amazing fall weather to drive out to Wildwood on Sunday to ride the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Steam Railroad. It was so much fun and our little conductor loved it! The ride was relaxing with some pretty scenery and Camden liked going through the "forest." Another family fun day for 2012!

Not a baby anymore....

This week, it has really hit me that Camden is growing up. He asked to stay in the bathtub until all the water drained out, so I went into the kitchen. A few minutes later, he walks into the kitchen wrapped in his towel and says, "I sneaked up on you!" I almost cried. He is such a big boy! Since starting in Ms. Sue's class, he wants to go to the bathroom by himself and shut the door. We aren't allowed to be in there. The other night, he and I were reading Alphabet Under Construction. I would read the page and he would say, "G like in Grant's name. " I couldn't believe it-it made this momma proud!
