Bonding over football
Papa took Camden to the Windsor vs. Hillsboro game and he sent me these pictures. Little Man loves him some football but the cars Mommy packed came in handy as well. And of course, he got to spend the night at Grandma and Papa's. I am so thankful for the relationship my dad is building with our sweet boy.

Annual Tennessee Trip
Todd and Matt have not been able to go to Tennessee since Todd started coaching for Hillsboro. There is usually a playoff game on that weekend. Well, Tennessee traveled to Columbia to play Mizzou this year, so they went. HIgh school football coaches in Missouri can get free tickets to Mizzou games, so they took advantage of that offer. They also were able to get tickets to the UT Alumni Tailgate Tour buffet. Looks like they had a great time!

He's famous...
Todd and his undefeated Hawks were featured on stltoday.com for their undefeated season! Pretty awesome for a 2nd year coach!
Hillsboro football team has undefeated season
Hillsboro eighth-grade football team included: (front row, from left)
Chase Green, Keon Kettler, Jeremy Webb, Logan Jones, Joe Garner, Brett
Martin, Quentin Smith, Christian Swallow; (second row) Tim Schuepbach,
Jacob Goode, Cole Massey, Zach Bodway, Riley Thompson, Justin Konersman,
Cole Meador, Joe Gregory, Jordan Wisdom; (third row) Jeremy Hummel,
Kevin Merglekamp, Dalton Lamb, Adam Brody, Justin Sanders, Anthony
Litviak, Deven Johnson, Luke Skaggs, Connor Guines; (fourth row) Sean
Tolliver, Seth Terry, Michael Keller, Tyler Isaacson, Kevin Pratt,
Jordan Rodgers, Paul Stewart, Isaiah Martin; (fifth row) Jesse Krausz,
Joe Marschuetz, Coach Todd Medley, Coach Nathan Chiles, Coach Don Horn,
Coach Mike Wattle, Mike Lalk and Matt Hood.
The Hillsboro eighth-grade football team broke through into
the next level of football with a 6-0 undefeated campaign and has been
named this week’s Cardinals Featured Team of the Week.
The Hawks did not give much for the opponents to work with as the squad outscored opponents 258-48 through all six games.
With
games against DeSoto, Festus, Windsor, Crystal City, Triad and Troy,
the Hawks used just about every bit of its 41-man roster to overcome the
opponents.
Two
of the four games this season were road games for the Hawks, who play
four eight-minute quarters on a regulation-size field. The highest
offensive output for Hillsboro was a 54-6 win over Windsor a week before
the defense helped shut out Crystal City with a 46-0 win.
Hillsboro
and coach Todd Medley mirror the eighth-grade football program after
the culture of the high school team and preach playing within the
system.
“We were blessed to have some really good kids and some good athletes,” Medley said.

An undefeated season
Tonight wrapped up the 8th grade football season. The moms had a pizza party for the team and coaches. We watched a highlight video and Todd passed out awards. I am very proud of him for this season. Yes, they were undefeated, but more than that-he truly cares for each and every one of those players. And I can tell, they in return, respect Coach Medley a great deal. One of the parents was telling me that a group of the boys comes over pretty often and that from their conversations-they really like your husband. My little heart just swelled with pride! That's my hubby, ladies! He's all mine!

Coach's Kids
Aren't these two just the cutest? Camden and Kara are the only 2 coach's kids at the 8th grade games. Camden, against his better judgment but Mommy insisted, shares his toys with Kara. Even though, according to him, all she does is stick them in her mouth. Amy and Kara have made going to the 8th grade football games much more fun from this coach's wife. I am thankful for new friends!
Ms. Ronda, Camden's pre-K teacher, has been at the 8th grade games as well and at the last game, he asked to go sit with her. What a sweet teacher to let him sit by her and talk her ear off the whole game! She said he told her all about football, the Volunteers and Peyton Manning.

Homecoming 2013
Amazing weather, Homecoming parade, lunch with the team and coaches, playing football w/Grant, tailgating, a score of 60-0, playing on the field after the game-a great day of football season memories. Believe it or not, I am starting to like football season and being a coach's wife!
