30 Days of Thanks-part 1

Day 1:
I am thankful for modern medicine. Camden's nebulizer makes him having asmtha bearable and easy to manage.

Day 2:
I am thankful for my 3rd grade team. We have our differences, but I can honestly say I have alot of fun at work with these four ladies.

Day 3:
I am thankful for my parents and their "Festus visits" to see peapie. I cannot say enough about all they do for me, Todd and Camden.

Day 4:
I am thankful for my church. I love going to church every Sunday and we have met so many great people since starting at Victory. The messages alway challenge me to be a better Christian person.

Day 5:
I am thankful for a class of amazing students. This year is flying by and I am having so much fun.I enjoy teaching them and seeing them learn.

Day 6:
I am thankful to live in America where we have many rights, including the right to vote. I love teaching this concept to my 3rd graders.

Day 7:
I am thankful for Camden's teacher, Ms. Sue who loves him and teaches him about God.

Day 8:
I am thankful for a warm, cozy house on cold and rainy days!

Day 9:
I am thankful for my sweet husband who will start my car on cold mornings, so it is warm by the time Camden and I leave.

Day 10:
I am thankful for the Saturn and that it is still running at almost 160, 000 miles!

Day 11:
I am thankful for veterans who gave their life so I can have the freedoms I enjoy and for the soldiers who serve now protecting our country.

Day 12:
I am thankful for PD days. I love wearing my comfy clothes and having lunch out. (The break from the kids is always nice too!)

Day 14:
I am thankful for Aldi, where I can save money money on groceries to feed my little family.

Gratitude Journaling

One thing I have focused on in 2011 and also 2012 is to be more grateful. It is easy to go through life and forget about how blessed I am and I have found that these journals help me. They are also a way of recording the little things that happen in our everyday life. I got the idea last year from Monika Wright at http://iloveitallwithmonikawright.blogspot.com/. She creates amazing mini-books and journals and I am always inspired by reading her blog and love to "scraplift" her ideas!
A sidenote: Little Man is doing well at potty training and we are so proud of him! He tells us now when he has to go and has had no accidents in the last few days. He even wears his underwear at nap. Now, comes the hard part-pooping on the potty.....
