Seeing Santa

Miss Caren had been talking to Jaden about Santa and he was always so excited to see a "Claus," whether it was a blow up on someone's lawn or a decoration in the house. But when it came time to meet the actual Santa Claus, he was definitely not as excited. He didn't cry, but he kept his head down and had his hands in his mouth. One smile and no tears-I would call this year's photo a success!

Seeing Santa

Camden only wanted to see "his Santa" this year-the one at Mommy's school. So, I didn't worry about making time to go anywhere else. Well, Camden started throwing up about 30 minutes before we were supposed to leave to go see his Santa. He was so upset!
Luckily, Daddy was playing Santa for a fundraiser a few nights later, so we got our picture with Santa. It actually worked out perfectly-that day was pajama day at school and I had dressed the boys in their matching pajamas. At first, Jaden didn't want anything to do with "Santa", but he warmed up after a while. "Santa" said to Camden, "Hi, little boy. How are you?" And Camden replied, "Stop it, Dad!" He is such a hoot. We knew he would figured it out, so we told him Daddy was helping Santa out this year.

Santa's Lap(or not)

Todd was in charge of taking Camden to see Santa at my school this year since Mommy was in Kansas City with Jaden. And I must say, Daddy did a great job! Camden even took a list he and Daddy had worked on and some cookies for Santa. I got pictures from Regina right afterwards and then talked to Camden on the phone, so it was almost as good as being there.
Camden sometimes pulls on his ears when he is nervous. :)

He didn't want to sit on his lap but instead stood by him. Good enough for me!

Cookies for Santa

Camden picked out 2 heart cookies that he and I had baked and decorated to leave for Santa.
He was so excited to see that Santa had eaten the cookies we left and drank all his milk!

Seeing Santa

2012
Check out this sweet boy sitting on Santa's lap! I can't believe this is his 4th Christmas-where did the time go? We always visit Santa at Mommy's school during North Pole Palooza. The Lil' Cat Club lets the teachers come early with their kiddos and take pictures. And now just for fun, let's take a quick look at our previous experiences sitting on this same Santa's lap:
