Somehow, Mommy completely forgot about Baby Bear's Open House at Victory. Today was Jaden's first official day with Miss Michelle, even though he started in her class a few weeks ago. We LOVE her and she is a perfect fit for our sweet boy!

God, we thank you!
Camden learned the sweetest prayer at Victory when he was in the toddler class. And now little brother has learned it too! When it is time to pray, Jaden folds his hands and squeezes his eyes shut. It is the cutest thing.

Jaden's School
Shy and timid? J bear? Pretty sure, this is just a honeymoon phase. Starting at Victory was such a good move for Baby Bear. He is learning so much and I love his teachers, Ms. Kristi, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Shelby and Ms. Taylor(TayTay). We are still working on getting him to nap though.

Preschool Graduation
How is it that this handsome boy graduated from preschool tonight? It seems like just yesterday it was his first day at Victory Children's Center and I was nervous about leaving him. He has had wonderful teachers, Ms. Barbie and Ms. Jessica, Ms. Sue and Ms. Leah, Ms. Ronda and Ms. Olivia. I am so thankful he was able to attend a Christian preschool and get a good foundation for his education as well as learn about Jesus. We sure will miss our friends at Victory. It's on to kindergarten for this little man!

Love is in the air
So, evidently, there's a romance in Ms. Ronda's class. I got a call last week that Camden fell and hit his head. Ms. Ronda said that Camden and Lucy were dancing at their wedding and when Camden tried to twirl Lucy, he fell and hit his head. The funniest part was that Ms. ROnda was holding the ice pack on Camden's head and Lucy said, "Here, Ms. Ronda, I will do it. I'm his wife." Haaaaa! Talk about cracking me up!
Then, on Tuesday, Lucy's mom, who works with Todd, tags me in this Facebook: Andrea Melton Medley we might be in trouble...This little cutie told me she and Camden were engarraged! Funny stuff.
Fast forward to today. Camden get his first love note in his mailbox from Lucy. He said, "Hey, I didn't color this!" I turned it over and this is what I see. Love it! So, we start talking about Lucy and he informs me that he KISSED her on the cheek!!! Oh dear, I am so not ready for this!

Smart Little Cookie
Ms. Ronda and Ms. Olivia are doing kindergarten readiness testing and Camden passed with flying colors. He can write his first name, recognizes all the upper and lowercase letters, knows his colors, shapes, opposites, can count to 50 and has good fine motor skills. He still needs to work on rhyming and printing his last name. I'd say he's doing pretty good!
Ms. Ronda is doing a great job preparing them for kindergarten. She talks about what to expect. She must have told them they will need shots because Little Man informed us he doesn't want to go to kindergarten. When we asked why, he said well, I don't want to get shots. :)
Here's a picture Ms. Ronda sent me of my sweet boy playing last week:
And here are the four bff's: Chloe, Zoe Xavier and Camden. Camden told me these are their brain costumes and that their brains are sticking out. :) They were learning about My Body that week.

Pre-K Christmas Program
We came home from Kansas City to see Little Man's last Christmas program with Victory Children's Center. It's hard for this momma to believe her sweet boy will be in kindergarten next year at this time. Camden was super cute as usual. Grandma always makes sure he decked out with new clothes. He looked pretty spiffy in his vest. He cracked us up by keeping his hands in his pockets the whole time. He was also pretty interested in the scenery behind him(but who wouldn't want to look at dancing babies with stars on their heads?)

Preschool
Last week, I was a little frazzled on Camden's first day with Ms. Ronda. There were so many parents dropping off kids and it was crazy busy. I was also in a hurry to get to my classroom. So, I only got one picture. Today, we had more time and we were both more relaxed. He insisted on wearing his new turtle backpack from Aunt Mickie and Uncle Adrian (even though it was empty) and I was NOT fighting that battle. :)
When he woke up this morning, he said I get to stay on green card today. Well, that got my teacher brain working overtime. He had turned his card last week for not sitting in his own spot at the carpet and for not having his back on the wall at the bathrooms.
So, when we got to his classroom, I asked him to show me his spot on the carpet. I made a big deal of how I liked the number six and used some of the knowledge I have learned in PBIS training with my own child. I retaught the expectation for sitting in your spot at the carpet. When we walked by the bathrooms, I reminded him that his back was to be against the wall like the teacher asks.
Well, today he was on green. So maybe it worked! Here he is at "his spot" this morning.

Swim Day
The other morning, I managed to forget not only Camden's cubby cot for nap, but his lunch as well. I did, however, remember his items for Swim Day. When I came back to drop off the forgotten items, his class was outside for their swim time. I caught some pictures of him having fun:

Preschool Program
Last night was Camden's preschool program and boy, was he in rare form! He was very hyper, even Gramma Becky commented on how crazy he was. Thank goodness, he was well behaved on the stage during the awards and for their song, which was absolutely adorable! Ms. Sue's class sang I Am a Promise. They sang their little hearts out. Camden received the Most Sincere Award from Ms. Sue. He and Xavier had fun as you can see at the reception afterward. We have been so blessed to have Ms. Sue as Camden's teacher this year and love her very much!
