Showering Mickie

As soon as I knew Mickie was having a girl, I began planning her shower. You see, I would love to be a party planner as my second career. I LOVE it! I had lots of fun making decorations, thrift store shopping and borrowing things to decorate.
Little Miss decided to try to arrive the week of her shower, so we postponed it until after she arrived. Everything turned out perfect and we had lots of fun! Miss McKinley should not need any clothes-her wardrobe is fully stocked!
I love this girl and my new precious niece and am so blessed to have her as my friend. I am so excited to watch her in her new role as Mommy.

Critter Lane

Aunt Mickie spent the day with us today while Daddy and Bates went to the Vols game. This afternoon, we headed to Critter Lane with Aunt Bef, Patrick, Emmy and Emma. It was a little windy, but we had fun. We fed the parakeets and the very overzealous goats, but did NOT stay very long in the reptile house. There is just something creepy to this momma about a snake large enough to eat me!
"Huddling together to get warm" was Emmy's idea.

Overnight Visit

Camden had an overnight stay with Uncle Adrian and Aunt Mickie this weekend. He could not wait to leave. I took this picture because he kept saying, "Let's go, Aunt Mickie!"
They went to Grant's Farm and of course, he talked them into a stop by Wal-Mart. He is so lucky to have them in his life! Todd and I are blessed because they take such good care of our sweet boy so we can have time together as a couple. We enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing day in Grafton with the Bates'.
Thanks, Aunt Mickie for the pictures!

Very Cool School

We visited Aunt Mickie at her new school this week. Camden told me as we walked in, "This is a very cool school!" He was excited to see Aunt Mickie. She showed him their chickens, but his very favorite was the library! He found some David Michael books and enjoyed climbing all over their gathering area. He liked looking at all the exhibits-his favorite was probably the sign language one. He did want his picture with the superhero though.
I had to include this last picture because Camden so innocently asked, "Mom, is this Jesus?" Sometimes, a laugh just sneaks out before I can help it!
