I got this picture from Caren this morning. Jaden was her only baby today and she was loving her snuggle time. Clearly, Jaden Bear was loving it as well. Check out his big grin!

Love these moments

Camden always told us he wanted a brother, but we weren't exactly sure he really did. But he has been such a good big brother to Jaden. It makes me so happy to see the two of them interact. He really isn't jealous of Jaden at all. He is known to say to Todd though, "Daddy, give Jaden to Mommy, so you can play with me." His latest way to help is when Jaden cries to say, "Mom, I'll get him." Meaning he will go try to entertain him so he will stop crying. I pray my two sweet boys will always be close and share a special bond.

Jaden's First Walk

We got a break from the nasty weather if only for one day. It was about 60 degrees, so we went for a walk/ride. Camden hasn't quite mastered his big boy bike yet, so we ended up back on Old Faithful, the tricycle. Unfortunately, Jaden wasn't too thrilled about napping in the stroller, so our walk was cut short. But we still enjoyed our time. We are ready for spring!!

Feeding the Goats?

Sis, Nick and Emmy came down on one of our many snow days. Both Nick and Emmy love to hold Baby J, so when Sis was feeding Jaden-she asked Nick if he wanted to feed him. She got Nick all settled and we were all just watching. Nick looks up and says, "You know, Mom, this is kinda like feeding the goats at Grant's Farm." She and I both cracked up laughing. That's so Nick-just says it like he sees it.

My Valentine

We may not have done much to celebrate this Valentine's Day, but this man has my heart every day of the year! Our life has changed a lot lately and we are busier than ever. But he still can make me laugh no matter how stressed I am and can calm me down when I am upset. Just his presence makes me feel better. Sis did watch the boys so we could go out to eat tonight and Todd kept me entertained during the hour and a half wait at Red Lobster. Normally, we (or I should say Miss Impatient) wouldn't have waited that long, but we are trying to save money and had a gift card. And since our moments alone together are few and far between these days, we made the most of it! I love you, my valentine!

Sweet Emmy

So, I get these this picture text from my sister today of Emmy's writing. At first, I thought oh, cute, she must have wrote something funny. Then, I read closer and it was about ME! Talk about melting my heart. They had to write about a box of Magic Chocolates. Here's what she wrote: 

I got a box of magic chocolates for my valintien AndrnA. The first chocolate wil give her Katy Perry tickits. The next chocolate will give her binkeys for her baby. The last chocolate will give her hugs + kisses. My Anat was be very suprised. Is that not the sweetest? I love my Emmy girl! 

Tubby Time

Jaden does not like his bath very much these days. Big brother Camden wants to be right there making sure Mommy takes good care of Jaden. It is quite the challenge in a tiny bathroom, but I am glad he wants to be involved. Pretty soon, Daddy is going to have to find our baby bathtub because Jaden is quickly outgrowing the sink!

First Day with Caren

Caren Pruitt is Jaden's amazing babysitter. His first day was yesterday. I got this picture from Caren about 10:30 a.m. and it melted my heart. We are so blessed to have her watching our sweet boy. She has been watching kids for over 20 years and knows her stuff. We love her! 

Visiting Daddy

On Mommy's last day of maternity leave, we visited Daddy at work. All the ladies had been asking when they were going to meet Baby Jaden, so we figured a visit was in order. Daddy showed Jaden off to his colleagues and even a few students. It was so neat to watch the kids as they saw another side of tough Mr. Medley!

2 Months Old

Today is Jaden is 2 months old!
You weighed 10 lbs 5 oz and were 23 inches long at the cardiologist a week ago. We are switching you from the Similac NeoSure to Similac Sensitive. Dr. Bromberg says you don't need the extra calories anymore.
You eat 4 ounces every 3 hours still. You wake up every 3 hours around the clock. Mommy and Daddy are hoping you will start to sleep longer at night.
You will tolerate being in your bouncy seat for a short time, but you HATE the swing. I fear you are getting a little spoiled. Evenings are your fussy time. You pretty much have to held all evening.
You are cooing and talking to us. Much to Grandma's dismay, you have not smiled yet. But you are trying. Mommy has to remember that you were a preemie (4 weeks early) and you may not reach all milestones at the same time as your brother. You may be a little slower, but should catch up by a year.
