Family Read

Last night, Camden asked for family read-which meant he wanted us to both read at the same time. Usually, our routine is that Mommy reads, then Daddy reads, then prayer and bed-but we switched it up. And Camden decided he was the "teacher" and read one of his favorite books to us. As you can tell from Todd's face, it was quite a test in patience. But the teacher in me LOVED it!

A wedding?

Emmy came to visit a somewhat puny Camden today. He was so excited to have someone to play with. They were playing in his room when he came out dressed in the tuxedo from Aunt Mickie's wedding minus the shirt. Beth and I cracked up! He said he was marrying Emily. Then, the story changed to they were at church and wanted coffee to drink. This makes me laugh because he knows his daddy always drinks coffee at church. I love these two crazy cousins!

Bonfire

A bonfire and s'mores in July? Yep, we sure did. The weather has been unseasonably cool this week. Tonight, Todd texted me while I was doing nursery at church and said they would really like to make s'mores, but didn't have any wood for the fire pit. Mommy to the rescue! I found firewood at Mobil on the Run and stopped at Dollar General to get marshmellows, chocolate and graham crackers. Camden was thrilled! So, we enjoyed some yummy s'mores on a Saturday night in July!

Swim Day

The other morning, I managed to forget not only Camden's cubby cot for nap, but his lunch as well. I did, however, remember his items for Swim Day. When I came back to drop off the forgotten items, his class was outside for their swim time. I caught some pictures of him having fun:

Field Trip

Beth and I took Emmy and Camden to St. Francis State Park yesterday. It was a somewhat cooler day, but they enjoyed playing in the water and exploring. I couldn't get over how quiet and peaceful it was. It was fun and best of all, free!

Swim Lesson

Camden had his first swim lesson with Mr. Justin at the YMCA. He is in the Pike class. He loved it and already is asking when he has another lesson!

Proud Momma

Last Sunday, Camden asked for some money. We gave him some and suggested he give some to Jesus in the offering at church. He said, "No, I will keep it all." We finally got him to agree to give some. Well, we didn't want to push the issue and have a meltdown before church, so we just let it go. When I picked him up from class after church, the first thing he said to me was, " Mommy, I gave all my money to Jesus!" He was so excited and couldn't wait to tell Daddy. I just love these moments!

Water Fun with Lincoln

On Friday, we took Camden and Lincoln to the Arnold Rec Center's outdoor water park. They had a blast and wore Todd out! We came home and they played for a few more hours. They only disagreed once-pretty good for two four year old boys.

Critter Lane

Aunt Bef and Patrick to Camden to the Critter Lane Petting Zoo last weekend and he loved it! She even sent me pictures(because she knew it would end up on the blog as she says...) Looks like he had a great time. Thanks, Aunt Bef!

Last Day

Our last day in Tennessee, we drove through Cades Cove. Camden really wanted to see a black bear , but unfortunately, that did not happen. We did see several deer and a turkey up close. Camden had fun "driving" the car on Daddy's lap and we took a family potty break in the woods which he thought was just the funniest thing ever! It was very peaceful and beautiful.
That afternoon, Todd and I went shopping at the outlets while Dad and Sis took the kids white water rafting. Camden and Gamma stayed home. We went swimming and ate pizza for dinner. Then, we took turns getting in the “hot pool” as Camden called the hot tub.
