#Snowdaysnuggles

He may have that look on his face, but I am not fooled! This daddy is in heaven with both his boys on his lap. I am so thankful every single day for this man and the daddy he has become. He always makes time for his boys and their love for him is so obvious when they are together. I pray they always stay close to their daddy!

First Time on the Ice

Mean mug in the penalty box

Little Man loves playing hockey with Daddy, so on this particular snow day, we decided to try out his new skates for the first time. Todd waited until we were on our way to the ice rink to inform me that he had never been ice skating before. My reply was well, this may not end well. Ha! But I knew that he had played roller hockey, so I was pretty sure he would be able to ice skate. Sure enough,  he was more steady on the ice that I was and I have been ice skating quite a few times. Camden had a hard time staying upright, but he was a trooper! And he loved it! I think we may have a future hockey player on our hands.

Snow in March?

Poor Camden is so confused. Their theme at preschool this week was spring, so we have talked a lot about the weather getting warmer and flowers blooming. On the way home from church today as it is snowing pretty hard, he says "It's winter outside." Yes, son, March 20 may have been the first day of spring, but in Missouri, it is currently still winter.
I have to say, though, today was one of the most fun days we have had in a while. Here's a look:
I love that Camden always asked before we play in the snow if I will make hot cocoa when we come in.

Snow Day 2013

Our first snow day of this school year was today. Our day will filled with making French toast, pretending to be Buzz Lightyear and Captain America, watching reviews on Mommy's computer and playing Angry Birds StarBurst(Star Wards) on Mommy's phone and most importantly, naps! Camden did go outside with Daddy for a little bit, but it was too cold to stay out for long. Just a perfectly relaxing day at home with my boys!
Love his mean face, especially with a chocolate cookie mustache!
We are still getting our money's worth from this Halloween costume...look at  how short the pants are! :)

Thanks, Grandma ,for the Camden size shovel!

SNOWMAN

Let me start by saying ths pitiful amount of snow that fell on Christmas Day was very disappointing to Little Man. He could not understand why we couldn't make a snowman.
So, when Todd told him to look out the window yesterday morning-I was ready with the camera:
Oh, you can just see his excitement! I love how expressive he is-I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree in that area. :)
First, the boys had a snowball fight...

Then, we got distracted by a worm...oh, I am learning little boys just LOVE gross things...
Then, finally, they got to work on the cutest little snowman and I did my part by providing the buttons, licorice, carrot, scarf, hat and mittens.  Hard work on my part, I know!

To coax Camden back inside, I made hot chocolate. Well, funny thing is that I don't like chocolate and therefore have never made hot chocolate. So, Todd didn't want to ruin my happy ending, but he said it tasted like brown water. Ha! Hence, the face in the second picture...

Later, I went out to take another close-up picture and hmmm, notice anything different about our snowman? Guess it bothered Todd that it didn't have enough orange... :)

Another Snow day

Our second snow day of this school year was on Valentine's Day. Since our yard is small, we decided to head up to the Downs' to play in the snow with them. Their backyard is perfect for sledding. Todd and Nick build this huge snowman in the front year, but sad to say, he didn't last long. The temperatures were too warm. Camden had fun in the snow with his cousins!
