Perfect for Petting
Parents as Teachers hosted a petting zoo and it was the first Saturday of beautiful spring weather. The boys had a great time petting and feeding animals, playing(well, for Jaden, eating) in the dirt, blowing bubbles, using using the parachute and painting with water. I loved having Parents as Teachers come visit when Camden was little and now Melissa comes to see Jaden. I love the fun activities they bring and it is just nice to know that he is meeting the milestones.

Last Fun Day at the Zoo
We took advantage of the super cool August weather to squeeze in one last family trip to the zoo before school started. We arrived early and were able to pet the stingrays and visit the children's zoo for free. We saw lots of our favorite animals and even the baby elephant, giraffe and zebra. Grandma treated us to the sea lion show and it was a nice break to eat a snack and catch our breath. We also rode the train which was fun with the exception of unfortunately sitting behind some Amish folks on the train that didn't believe in deodorant. Needless to say, if they hadn't gotten off at the next stop, we would have moved seats.
