Annual Tennessee Trip

Todd and Matt have not been able to go to Tennessee since Todd started coaching for Hillsboro. There is usually a playoff game on that weekend. Well, Tennessee traveled to Columbia to play Mizzou this year, so they went. HIgh school football coaches in Missouri can get free tickets to Mizzou games, so they took advantage of that offer. They also were able to get tickets to the UT Alumni Tailgate Tour buffet. Looks like they had a great time!

Rockytop Day

Our fourth day was probably Todd’s favorite day. He had earned a free tour of  Neyland Stadium from the University of Tennessee on Twitter. So, we got to see the inside parts of the stadium, including the locker room! Lizzy, our tour guide, wished we could have went on the field, but she didn’t know if the alarms were set or not. We did NOT want a visit from the UT police! On our way home, we stopped at the Knoxville WalMart and found this adorable Smokey costume. It was marked $5.00, but hen the cashier rang it up-it was $2.50! Score! It’s a medium and a little big on Camden, but he LOVES it! We had lunch at Calhouns on the River and Camden loved watching the geese.

That night, Papa wanted to take the grandkids to ride go-carts. He found a place where even Camden could drive one. I have to say I have not laughed this hard in a while. I think he was a little overwhelmed to say the least. He kept looking to see where Emmy was and would run into things. He could barely see over the steering wheel, but he loved it! He rode with his Daddy the second time. First, he told Todd to go slow, then he changed his mind and said to go faster.
