Camden's First Stitches

Oh buddy, what a night! Todd and Camden decided to go with me to my 3rd grader's music program at the Dunklin R-V Theater. Here Little Man is flirting with the girls before the concert:

Camden had gotten a little restless, so Todd took him out in the foyer. I was standing in the back of the auditorium with the other teachers watching our kids perform. A woman walked up to me and said, "Are you Mrs. Medley?" I replied yes and her next words were "Your son is going to need to go to the emergency room." I immediately went out to the foyer and sure enough Todd was holding Camden with a bloody towel on his forehead. He told me Camden had tripped and fell and another litttle girl had fallen on top of him. He had split his head open right on the eyebrow. It was pretty bad. So we got in the car and headed to St. Anthony's Pediatric Emergency Room. Cmamden was so brave. The only thing he kept saying was, "It dripping, Mommy." The blood kept getting in his eye. He was a trooper on the way up there. Here is the picture we sent to Gamma:

We said Dr. Lui again, the same doctor we have seen both other times at the ER. They decided Camden needed to be put under anesthsia due to how close the wound was to his eye. That was the scariest part-seeing him unconscious. But we knew God would take care of our sweet boy! It was pitiful watching him try to wake up after anesthesia.

Once we got your jammies on and they cleaned you up, you were all smiles and ready to go home!

I have to compliment the staff at St. Anthony's-they were awesome! Papa and Gamma both came up to keep us company and for moral support. We are so thankful God kept His hand on you and that the injury was not life-threatening! He is good!
Here you are the next morning-You and Mommy had an "at home day". You also had a bone bruise on your thumb-they took an x-ray to check, but it was just badly bruised.

Transportation Museum

Thank you Grandma for another Groupon outing. It was a beautiful day and Beth asked if Camden and I wanted to join them for a trip to the Transportation Meseum. Since Daddy was at a track meet and that alwasy makes you a little sad, we were happy to go! The three of you explored and it was funny watching Nick lead the way, Emmy try to keep up with Nick and Camden try to keep up with them both. Emmy is so sweet and such a little mother to Camden(although he doesn't like it very much). I am so thankful that you are growing up with your cousins and that we live close enough to do fun things together.

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary. Sometimes, it is hard to remember my life without Todd in it. He is such an incredible husband and I love him more with each year we are together. Everything we go through together, good and bad, makes us a stronger couple. God truly blessed us when he gave us each other. He is my best friend!

This is one of my favorite pictures of us lately. It was taken at Mickie and Adrians' wedding last August.

Breathing Treatments

Breathing treatments have been a part of your life since you turned one.
You have infectious/allergy-induced asthma. Right after your first birthday, you got sick and at the doctor's office, you had to have a breathing treatment. We tried an inhaler with a spacer, but even holding you down, it was difficult. So, the nebulizer was our only option. Since then, you have come a long way. Mommy and Daddy used to have to both hold you down the entire time, but now, you hold it yourself. Such a big boy.

Another Snow day

Our second snow day of this school year was on Valentine's Day. Since our yard is small, we decided to head up to the Downs' to play in the snow with them. Their backyard is perfect for sledding. Todd and Nick build this huge snowman in the front year, but sad to say, he didn't last long. The temperatures were too warm. Camden had fun in the snow with his cousins!

Happy Valentine's Day

We had Valentines Day dinner at Mom's and she made red velvet cake as always. She has made this cake in the shape of a heart as long as I can remember. She has also made each holiday special since Beth and I were little girls and has continued this tradition as we have gotten older and now with her grandkids. I love how close our family is!
