Rockytop Day

Our fourth day was probably Todd’s favorite day. He had earned a free tour of  Neyland Stadium from the University of Tennessee on Twitter. So, we got to see the inside parts of the stadium, including the locker room! Lizzy, our tour guide, wished we could have went on the field, but she didn’t know if the alarms were set or not. We did NOT want a visit from the UT police! On our way home, we stopped at the Knoxville WalMart and found this adorable Smokey costume. It was marked $5.00, but hen the cashier rang it up-it was $2.50! Score! It’s a medium and a little big on Camden, but he LOVES it! We had lunch at Calhouns on the River and Camden loved watching the geese.

That night, Papa wanted to take the grandkids to ride go-carts. He found a place where even Camden could drive one. I have to say I have not laughed this hard in a while. I think he was a little overwhelmed to say the least. He kept looking to see where Emmy was and would run into things. He could barely see over the steering wheel, but he loved it! He rode with his Daddy the second time. First, he told Todd to go slow, then he changed his mind and said to go faster.

Emiwee

Camden loved having a constant playmate around. These two were inseparable and "Emiwee" even slept in our room a few nights. The way Camden pronounces her name is too cute-there’s a “w” instead of an”l”. I am so glad these cousins are so close. Camden even started calling Nick-"Nickee" and would just randomly walk up and hug Nick’s leg.
This sweet girl was my shadow this week on vacation. Everywhere I went, she would follow. It was so sweet. She wanted me to Frenchbraid her hair every day. My heart melted when she brought me back this Andrea necklace as a souvenir. I just love her to pieces!

Vacation Day 3

The third day of vacation, we rode the Sky Lift and shopped in downtown Gatlinburg. The guys attempted to go white water rafting, but there had been no water released, so they couldn’t go. They came back and we swam some more. That night, Dad treated us to dinner out. We came back and relaxed for our big trip to Knoxville.

Vacation Day 1 and 2

The first day we got to Gatlinburg about one, so we just unpacked and went swimming. We had spaghetti and root beer floats. Patrick came that night too. Before bed, the grandkids got in the "hot pool" as Camden called it with Papa.

Our second day, we drove up the mountains and then went fishing, Dad grilled for dinner, we played Hillbilly Golf and had funnel cakes and ice cream.
We very cautiously allowed Camden to cast his on his own, because he insists on doing everything just like Emmy and Nick. We gave him a wide berth, let me tell you-no one wanted a hook stuck in them.
Now, in Hillbilly Golf, you ride a tram up the hill and play your way along the hillside. There are no restrooms(and no way down until you are done), which we found out about half-way through when Camden announced he had to go potty. So, in true hillbilly form, we just turned him around and let him go. Here's the proof thanks to Aunt Bef:
And that's my very own hillbilly(yep, ladies, he is all mine! )
