Promiseland Nursery

Sunday was the first time Mommy and Daddy left Jaden in the nursery at church. He was getting just a little too noisy for church, especially during the message. He did great and got lots of love from Heather, one of Daddy's track girls. He's officially a "Beautiful Baby" in the Promiseland Nursery at Victory Church.

(I just noticed that they have Jaden's birth date wrong-ha!) 

Your imagination

I love this boy's imagination and hope he never loses his creativity! He came to me and asked if I could make him one of those things pirates look through. Luckily, we had been in the habit of saving toilet paper rolls for Aunt Beth, and we had 2 on the shelf. So, today he was a swashbuckling pirate saving the day and our couch was his pirate ship. 

Preschool Graduation

How is it that this handsome boy graduated from preschool tonight? It seems like just yesterday it was his first day at Victory Children's Center and I was nervous about leaving him. He has had wonderful teachers, Ms. Barbie and Ms. Jessica, Ms. Sue and Ms. Leah,  Ms. Ronda and Ms. Olivia. I am so thankful he was able to attend a Christian preschool and get a good foundation for his education as well as learn about Jesus. We sure will miss our friends at Victory. It's on to kindergarten for this little man!

The best gifts are free

My very favorite part of Mother's Day this year was the video Todd made for me. I have watched it so many times and I still find a new part to like every time. It didn't cost any money and didn't take much time, but I will cherish this memory and the intentional thoughtfulness behind it forever.

Todd asked Camden several questions and each time after Camden gave his answer, he would turn to Jaden and ask him the same question. On cue, Jaden would cry or fuss like he was answering. It was awesome.

Here are the questions and Camden's answers:
"This is Camden Medley who is 5 years old and he is going to tell us why his mommy is the best mommy in the world. Camden, where is the favorite place you like Mommy to take you?
If it's the favorite place I like to go-it's Toys R Us
How does Mommy make herself beautiful?
She dresses up and lets me play with her.
Oh, we're going to have to take Jaden out of his chair for a second and the screen goes blank for a bit.
What is your favorite time you get to spend with Mommy?
The favorite time I get to spend with Mommy is.... I love her and..... I just saw a bug fly.
Todd says okay well we're talking about mommy so we're not going to worry about that right now.
What is one thing that MOmmy does for you that you love so much?
She lets me go to McDonald's.
Okay, last question: Why is your Mommy the best Mommy in the whole wide world?
Ummm because she loves me and I dance with her and I do stuff with her and she lets me spend the day with her and  I love her so much.
And Jaden is my best baby ever. Now ask Jaden, Daddy.
Then, Camden proceeded to act silly andJaden started crying. Todd says Oh, you're scaring your brother. So, that's all. Happy Mother's Day!"
It was PRICELESS and I am so lucky to have an amazing thoughtful husband!

Jaden's Home Away from Home

Caren takes such good care of Jaden. He always has a big smile for her every morning and is happy when I pick him up. He has been sleeping in the living room, but she moved him to the big kid room today. She said he did great and slept like a champ! She did such a great job decorating this room. So pretty! I am thankful to have such a good caregiver for my sweet boy.

Hunter and Swapforce

Yes, son, I know you love your new found "pets", Hunter and Swapforce, but I believe those same nasty bagworms which you dearly love have killed our small red leafed tree. Daddy says it's a goner.
