A Puppy?

So, Camden had a substitute the other day in kindergarten and she came down to tell me a funny thing he said. They were having a discussion on pets and Camden said, "Well, I really want a puppy, but my mom and dad got me a brother instead." Oh, that boy! He does want a dog and we have told him maybe when we get a bigger house. But I guess he sees his brother as the biggest roadblock right now. I love his sense of humor!

Just going for a walk

10 months

You are getting very fast at crawling, especially when you see the bathroom door is open. You are fascinated by what goes on in there and make a beeline for the door every time!

It is getting harder and harder to get pictures of you because you are always moving!! You are cruising along the couch and recliner. You have stood by yourself for a few seconds a couple of times, but usually just plop down and start crawling. 

You will do patty cake and twinkle, twinkle sometimes, but we really have to catch you in a cooperative move. You also will wave byebye but not very often yet. 

You still make the cutest little growling sound., but it's not mean because you are usually smiling while making it. Now you are getting loud and will let us know when you aren't happy. You are jabbering alot and say ma-ma-ma and da-da-da and ga-ga-ga.
You LOVE when Daddy gets home from football practice. You face lights up and you head straight for him!
You have had 3 ear infections the past month and so you aren't sleeping very well at night. Unfortunately, since you don't take a binky, sometimes we have to give you a bottle to get you back to sleep. Mommy knows this isn't good, but we all have to sleep!
We have tried some soft carrots, but you weren't a big fan. You love bananas though. You really like the biter biscuits, wagon wheels and the little corn puffs. You are begging for table food, so we have started trying some smashed peas, strained soup, mandarin oranges bits and some Gerber pick-up foods. You make such a mess!! You still only have 3 teeth, so we will have to wait on true table food even though you beg when you see Mommy and Daddy eating.

McKinley Louise Goodwin

My precious niece and the boy's new cousin decided to make her arrival today! We are all so glad she is here safe and sound and that she and Mommy are doing great. She was born at 3:09 am, weighs 4 pounds and 7 ounces and is 18 inches long. She was 6 weeks early, so she will spend some time in the NICU, just like Jaden. Here is the first picture I got of her.

 Later in the day, I texted Mickie and asked how everyone was doing. This was the response. No words were necessary. I love seeing my friend so happy! Happy day of birth, McKinley!

Top ten

My top memories of my terpie from his first month in kindergarten:
1. "Mom, our annoucements come from a big black box on the wall."
2. He had his first nurse's visit. He konked his eye on the corner of the table during art.
3. His favorite color is pink (Daddy is so proud!).

4. Somehow he ended up with glue in his hair and did NOT want to talk about it. We finally got out of him that he had a itch on his head and there was glue on his hands when he scratched it.
5. "I know the vowels-a,e, i,o and u."
6. I love seeing his sweet smile at my door at the end of each day.

7. He loves to draw Mrs. Huskey pictures.
8. I love how excited he gets when he finds one of his sight words in a book we are reading.
9. He draws me pictures on my white boards in the morning.
