My Papa

Papa loves each of his grandchildren in a different way. I have no doubt that he and Jaden will have just as close of relationship as the one he and Camden share. Papa loves to wrestle with his boys, but he also always enjoys when Jaden gets sleepy and will sit on his lap. He says, "Get his bottle and give him to me." It melts my heart every time.

15 months

My sweet J Bear:
You are growing up so fast, Mommy can hardly stand it! It seems like every day I notice that you have learned something new. You wave byebye and blow kisses. You know sign language for more, please and all done. You like to play Ring Around the Rosie and dance to fast music. You will hold you hands up with your palms turned up when looking for something. You want to talk so bad, but you are just grunting and babbling. You get really frustrated when Mommy and Daddy don't know what you want. You also get very upset when any of us take things away from you, especially the remote. You get really excited when it's time to go byebye or take a bath. We can't put your shoes on until it is time to walk out the door or you will stand at the door and cry. You still only have 8 teeth. Mommy thinks you will get a bunch at once. You love to read your books. Mommy has them on a shelf in the living room and you love being able to get them yourself. If the TV is not on, you will come get us and point to the TV. If you are able to get the remote, you will point it at the Tv trying to get it to come on. When you are hungry, you will go to your high chair and beg to get in. If you want to go outside, you will get your jacket from the chair and bring it to us. You LOVE being outside and cry when we can't go out. We are trying to teach you not to eat the mulch and rocks.

Four, 4, IV, quatro

I love the reminders that there are now four of us living in our little blue house...

  • Four pairs of shoes
  • Four towels hanging in the bathroom
  • Four different cups
  • Four sizes of socks in the laundry

Camden lately

Camden, you have always had a great vocabulary. You are always amazing Daddy and I with what you say. Some of you current phrases are:
as well
Seem
combine

You told us the other day that you needed to gowork out meaning walk on the treadmill and lift weights. We said oh, buddy, why? YOu replied, "Do you not see how skinny I am?"
You are always trying to talk Daddy into going outside and playing with you even when it is freezing cold. The other night, you said, Oh, I really just need some fresh air! I am sure you have heard Mrs. Huskey  or another kindergarten teacher say that and you cracked us up!

Playing School

I told Camden we needed to read his homework book and he said, "Let's play school!" He is doing such an awesome Mrs. Huskey impression and I am cracking up. My stomach hurts from laughing so hard!! He even told me to put up my quiet sign and that phones were not allowed at school. I LOVE it! And he sure does love Mrs. Kerri Huskey!

And this is the teacher look I got when I was talking. I think he has seen Mommy give this look a few times. HA!

Hockey Day in America!

Today Camden participated in the Blues First Stride program at the Scotttrade center. This is a free program to introduce kids to hockey and get to practice in full equipment free of charge. Total Hockey provided all the equipment and it was all Camden's size. He looked so cute! Mommy had to stay home with Baby Bear, so Daddy took lots of pictures.

First Time on the Ice

Mean mug in the penalty box

Little Man loves playing hockey with Daddy, so on this particular snow day, we decided to try out his new skates for the first time. Todd waited until we were on our way to the ice rink to inform me that he had never been ice skating before. My reply was well, this may not end well. Ha! But I knew that he had played roller hockey, so I was pretty sure he would be able to ice skate. Sure enough,  he was more steady on the ice that I was and I have been ice skating quite a few times. Camden had a hard time staying upright, but he was a trooper! And he loved it! I think we may have a future hockey player on our hands.
